Qualifications & Experience
- Graduate/Postgraduate in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Trade, or a related field.
- 10–12 years of experience in ocean export freight forwarding and logistics.
- Strong knowledge of Indian ports, shipping lines, and global trade lanes.
- Sound understanding of export documentation, compliance, and operational workflows.
- Proven experience in carrier negotiations, team management, and process optimization.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet KPIs/KRAs.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end ocean export operations, including FCL, LCL, reefer, and special cargo shipments.
- Manage carrier contracts, negotiate freight rates, and maintain service-level agreements.
- Ensure compliance with local and international shipping regulations and company policies.
- Co-ordinate with CFS/ICD, transport vendors, shipping lines, and port authorities for smooth cargo movement.
- Develop and implement SOPs and provide operational training to team members and stakeholders.
- Drive risk management initiatives and optimize export operational costs.
- Strengthen and expand the overseas agent network to support business growth.
- Identify and implement product and process improvement initiatives.
- Monitor operational performance and ensure achievement of departmental KPIs and KRAs.
