Skills & Requirements
- Proven experience in Ocean Freight Operations and Pricing (freight forwarding/logistics).
- Strong knowledge of shipping line tariffs, rate structures, and Incoterms.
- Ability to negotiate competitive rates and manage customer pricing.
- Good communication, coordination, and team-handling skills.
- Proficient in MS Office and email handling.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle pricing, rate procurement, and negotiations with shipping lines, co-loaders, and
overseas agents. - Prepare and share competitive freight quotations with customers within defined TAT.
- Monitor cost control, profitability, and margin adherence for shipments.
- Coordinate booking arrangements with shipping lines and ensure timely confirmations.
- Plan vessel schedules in line with customer requirements and rate validity.
- Oversee end-to-end Ocean Freight operations for Import & Export.
- Prepare and review documentation including BL (MBL/HBL), SI, DO, and related import/export documents.
- Coordinate with customers, shipping lines, CHA, transporters, and overseas agents for smooth execution.
- Ensure timely cargo movement, shipment tracking, and proactive follow-ups.
- Ensure accurate invoicing, billing, and maintenance of shipment records.
- Handle customer escalations and ensure service quality and turnaround time adherence.
- Supervise and guide the operations team, ensuring compliance with SOPs.
