Requirements
- Proven experience in Air Export Pricing (preferably in freight forwarding/logistics).
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Good knowledge of market trends and the air freight industry.
- Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/Freight forwarding systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Negotiate and coordinate spot rates and/or quotations for air shipments and all services within our client’s database.
- Display a thorough understanding of industry-related terminology and processes.
- Strategize ways of increasing profit margins, while keeping costs at a minimum.
- Develop, implement, and continuously enhance air freight forwarding operational procedures (export).
- Lead negotiation of rates with air carriers.
- Flexibility to adjust work schedule based on operational requirements.
- Assist the sales team and line managers with business development and securing new business initiatives.
- Work with the pricing in co-ordination with operations, and accounting team as well.
- Need to handle Escalations with Airlines & Customers.
- Keep abreast with the freight worldwide market and provide the information to all parties.
- Follow up on quotations as needed and communicate positive or negative feedback in respect of being able to source the competitive rate to support the closure of all business opportunities.
- Perform other related duties and projects as requested or assigned by management.
