The ideal candidate will be responsible for:
1. Oversee bookings from clients and arrange export to global destinations.
2. Identifying, selecting, and communicating the ideal alternative (means) and route for the
export of goods.
3. Defining the commercial terms of freight like providing quotation and freight rates to the
agents and shippers and preparing invoices, debit notes, credit notes, and vouchers for
accounting purposes.
4. Relationship management with various shipping lines and leverage that to liaise with
them.
5. Coordination of international air import & export movements calibrating relationship
management skills.
6. Check rates/costs at the time of booking receipt to ensure accuracy and place booking
with the shipping partner.
7. Arranging for customs clearance, maintaining files, and adhering to quality systems as
set out internally for Revenue regulations and AEO compliance.
8. Following up with export documents, verifying the authenticity of the documents, and
advising on any potential mistakes by the shippers.
9. Liaising with the carrier throughout the export, issuing MBL/HBL for sea shipments, and
confirming SOB with the carrier.
10. Arranging for arrival confirmation with the customer (ETD/ETA on placing the booking),
and pre-alert destination agents on shipment arrivals.
11. Trace shipments through transit points up to the final destination and advise customer
service as needed.
12. Relationship management with agents and shippers for smooth operations, perfectly
aligned with the business objectives.
13. Relationship management with network partners for effective aid in shipment handling.
14. Solve account queries by email or calls with a fast turnaround time.
15. Address all shipper, partner, and agent queries/communications within a stipulated time
frame.
