From a modest beginning with one table space, & with one helping hand, M.Afzal Malbarwala, Managing Director of Galaxy with the support of his father Tayeb Ismail Malbarwala, also Director of Galaxy, started the process of progress in 1989, namely "SPEED CARGO MOVERS". This is still in the industry and is progressing with time. This self-beginning was made after accumulation of over 12 years of experience in the trade was inherited and in 1995 Galaxy Freight Pvt. Ltd was formed and accredited IATA recognition status in the year 1997. Subsequently this became member of FIATA, and is a member of ACAAI (AIR Cargo Agents Association of India)

The Directors of Galaxy are also involved in major freight forwarding company"PDS LOGISTICS INTERNATIONAL PVT. LTD.", a Bangalore based organization, who are looking after interest of Galaxy's business in of Bangalore, Chennai and Kolkata (Calcutta), under the expert control and guidance of Galaxy team.

Looking into the ever-expanding market of the Industry, the team of Galaxy Freight did form a new company namely "GALAXY SEAIR LOGISTICS PVT LTD", exclusively to look after the sea freight operations, and are also representing in the city of Ahmedabad (for Gujarat state), a leading NVOCC operator of India. This gives an added advantage for booking, forwarding of cargo and the customers need not have to call many places to find out the exact position of cargo.And for the same "TAS CARGO PVT LTD" was formed.

The constituents of Galaxy Freight are professionals with years of experience in International freight forwarding, Customs Clearance, Warehousing, and domestic trucking. The company has never looked back after then. Besides being involved in handling of normal cargo, the company developed a structure specializing in handling of "OD" and D.G.R. cargo, which it still boasts to date.
